Margaret’s initial interest in holistic therapies commenced over 30 years ago with yoga training and teaching and she is an active member of the British Wheel of Yoga and teaching/training assessor.  She has been attached to GP practices and has worked with NHS referrals.  She has led many aromatherapy courses (including LEA courses),  given talks to Colleges, Corporate Groups, leads workshops, corporate training days and weekend breaks in this country as well as abroad.  

 

Margaret qualified from the Sequoia College of Natural Therapies in 1995 in Aromatherapy and has subsequently studied and obtained Diplomas in Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Reiki I, II, III Practitioner and Teacher/Master levels.

 

During the years she has been in practice she has treated children with emotional/physical problems and adults with learning difficulties. Margaret also treats cancer sufferers and she has completed training in a clinical environment in the Oncology and Palliative Care Unit in Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff. 

 

Margaret believes that all these natural therapies are helpful to complement other treatments and a natural means to “wholeness”.

 

 

Aromatherapy
Margaret is a full member of the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists .  Due to qualifying and practising in Reiki, this wonderful, natural energy  “comes through” in all her treatments which is particularly relaxing and healing.

 

Indian Head Massage

Margaret trained and obtained her Diploma in Indian Head Massage with the IIHHT in 2002.

Margaret has given talks to corporate groups and to the private sector in natural therapies, including Indian Head Massage. She treats a gentle, modified Indian Head Massage, along with other therapies, to clients with cancer for pain relief and general relaxation and healing which this holistic treatment affords. Indian Head Massage is also helpful in complementing other treatments for a natural means to “whole” health.

 

Reiki

Margaret trained and qualified in Level I Reiki whilst teaching Yoga in Crete. Reiki at this level is working on self-development.

 

Level II was obtained two years later in this country and experience and practise was gained through working with clients in her clinic and teaching in various workshops and Reiki Shares with clients and students. 

 

Level III Practitioner/Master Certificate was gained in 2003 and since then Reiki is channelled in all of the therapies she works with, ie, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Yoga thus enhancing all of the treatments.

Yoga

Margaret has 30 years of experience in yoga training and teaching, taking workshops, days and weekend breaks in this country as well as abroad, and its methodology has become a way of life, which may occur for anyone interested in self-development and self-healing. Latterly, Margaret is studying a Buddhist tradition of philosophy and meditation techniques and through practice believes it can be the way forward to a healthy mental attitude in a busy, stressful world.

Margaret currently holds a clinic at the Natural Therapy Clinic at 98 Cathedral Road, Cardiff on Wednesday afternoons, 2pm to 5 pm.
